10. Jul 10, 2021. #1. I recently removed my GPU to clean it and then I reinstalled it. After I did this, I believe it has either stopped working completely or it's not working as it used to. I used to be able to run games like Rust, PUBG, CSGO easily and now it has problems even loading a webpage.

So I bought a 2nd hand asus rog 2080ti for below market price as it is marked as defective. The previous owner did not clean it and was using it for 2 yrs straight for gaming only. The problem is that it crashes on certain games. I "fixed" it by adjusting the core clock to -50 in msi afterburner.

Sounds like it could be PSU related (dont go running out and getting a new one). 5 cards in a row is unlikely but crap does happens. The downclocking reduces the power draw and when the PSU cant deliever then you get issues. Just a guess but this is not to say that some of the cards or all were faulty.
