Goodbye RadioMaster TX16S - Why I'm selling my beloved RadioMaster#radiomaster #frsky

My guess as well. For me, the tx16s is just a bit too big. Great radio but as a thumber it's a bit cumbersome.

With the TX16S you can use many brands and types of receivers. You have to be aware that the D8 protocol is an old protocol by FrSky and FrSky stopped producing receivers for this protocol. If you want better support for telemetry with more sensors a D16 protocol receiver would give you more options. You can also look at FlySky receivers, but

C) Check in settings/settings/radio profile that your radio is correctly set to TX16S. All of the above need to be done only once, and are only because you where using nightlies before. D) Download a 2.3.8 firmware using file/download/download firmware. Put the file somewhere accessible. E) You can quit companion for now, and power on you radio

Just the other day a gust of wind blew it into a tree and destroyed the wings again. I'm done spending money on it and am going to just save for a bigger plane, like a Carbon Cub. If you keep crashing, a sport cub S might be a better idea. That was my 2nd plane. It's more durable, easier handling and cheaper/simpler to fix.

The Radiomaster TX16S has a black matte finish. The shell plastic quality is average, similar to the T16 I'd say but can't complain given the low price. The most welcome improvement is probably the USB-C port and built-in charging feature. USB-C is far easier to use, and more common than the old Mini USB port in the T16.

I disagree with the term clone, the Radiomaster is more of an evolved version of the Jumper T16. Part of the original jumper development team broke away from Jumper and formed Radiomaster and in so doing improved the original design to eliminate a lot of the faults and design flaws of the early jumper T16 model, Jumper still haven't resolved charging the battery in the transmitter.

How to Install DIY Button in TX16S MK II. To install the DIY button, open the radio first. Drop the button in the hole. Thread diameter of the button is slightly under 11.9mm. There are two connectors you can use on the PCB. The connector on the left is SJ, the right is SI. Note that those connectors have some pins left after connecting the

Now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to buy the TX16S or the Boxer. Both are great radios, but the Boxer is a little cheaper. On the other hand there's a lot of support for the TX16S and things like forward programming supposedly only work on the TX16S due to some limitations (like memory) of the non-color RadioMaster radios.

Sep 14, 2023. #2. You'll have to work with the Controller Profile in RealFlight to map the channels coming out of your TX16S to the proper channel functions in RF. Here's a post I have about how to do that with the WS2000. The WS2000 is limited to 8 channels. You'll be able to use a lot more channels on the TX16S if you use the USB connection

I think it's a good as you're going to get without building a custom radio. The firmware (i.e. menus and functions) are the same as any other radio running OpenTx, there's a nice big screen, plenty of switches and a multi-protocol radio module, and a module bay if you want a protocol it doesn't already support.

I have a Taranis x9d plus from my quadcopter time, and wanted a nicer radio for planes as I learn airplanes. From what I'm reading, it's best to go with the RadioMaster TX16S My problem is, there seems to be a plethora of options, and maybe some are just cosmetic and I want to make sure that I get the correct one. A few questions:

The radio is $199.99 and they offer $10 off if you spend at least $200 so I might as well get at least one accessory. Edit: the threshold is actually $400. But the question is still valid. I'm thinking maybe this receiver since it's on sale, although I already have some FrSky receivers I can use so it's not necessary. Share.
