right here. John Bonham could do things with drums that were seemingly beyond human ability. Watching old footage of his drum solos is entertaining and exciting. Ginger Baker is a hard drummer to copy, he had a very unique style in the late 60s. But he doesn't even fit in the same category as guys like Bonham and Keith Moon.

Baker was probably the very first fusion drummer. That alone is a massive legacy and influence that is still alive. He also is 1/3 of the first power trio. The power trio format has obviously been copied to death and is still one of the most common rock band formats. He popularized the rock drum solo.

Ginger Baker came from the old jazz school when swing was the king. He adapted to rock and roll. I don't think it is a fair comparison or criticism to compare Baker with either Kieth Moon or John Bonham. They were true rock drummers. A better comparison would have been Baker vs Mitch Mitchell who was also a swing drummer and every bit as good
