GTA IV is a fine game but V so so much better imo. Cars don't handle like rusty shopping carts, the city isn't a brownfield, and even the voice acting is superior. The loss of minute detail in V is due to it being a bigger city as well. JashDen said: There's nothing remotely relatable about Niko Bellic either.

In GTAIII, the AI jumped in front of cars. In GTAIV, the AI jumps AWAY from your car. Most of the time if you hit a pedestrian at under 30 mph thereabouts, they'll limp away alive. This is very different than a game like Saint's Row 3 where they mostly just explode into blood and gibs like walking pinatas.

But for me, 4 had a better story, better characters, better physics, and better driving. A controversial take but i do agree the driving was more fun than V. I like GTA IV driving more because it's harder to control in a map with more turns so I'm constantly engaged. GTA V driving is just too easy.
