What is truly remarkable about the GT fishing in Southern Oman is the average weight of the fish caught. The seven fish we caught measured 151 cm (not weighed), 140 cm (51 kg), 128 cm (37 kg), 126 cm (36 kg), 118 cm (33 kg), 115 cm (30 kg) and 114 cm (32 kg), translating into an average weight of around 39-40 kg.

I have got a trip coming up in late October, fishing with No Boundaries out of their lodge in Southern Oman. The trip itinerary is to arrive in Salalah on 25 October, fish 5 days (26-30 October) and leave Salalah on 31 October.
