I know that Nathan Tardif says that the bulletproof Noodler's inks should be kept from excessive heat, but I think he's talking about leaving it on a hot stove. It gets up to 90°+ F. in here and my inks have survived for at least 5 Summers..

So I guess the shorter answer is, if you haven't used the pen in a bit or the ink is a quick drying one, maybe let the pen rest horizontally or nib down to get the ink saturating the feed. Thank you, I'll try this approach too. Search YouTube for "tune nib" and you'll find some good resources.

Some wood are dense and hard and do well with Tung oil or French oil or just hard wax. Keep in touch, I want to see how you do on your kitless.
