Raspberry Pi is dead. Let's admit it. As much as it pains me to say this, it's time we admit that Raspberry Pi is dead. The tiny, affordable computer that once captured the hearts of makers and tinkerers everywhere has lost its edge. Raspberry Pi was initially designed to be a low-cost alternative to traditional computers, making it accessible

The Dead Pi# We have an abundance of Raspberry Pi, many have stopped working but we've managed to fix all but 1. We hoped replacing the boot loader would help but it's stubbornly dead. The The lights turn on when we plug it in but it doesn't work and we can't fix it. This week we were sure we'd killed another and were amazed to revive it back

I have a raspberry pi 3 B that apparently stopped working after a thunderstorm. When it's plugged the red power led turns on but I can't boot the OS. I checked the voltage on GPIO pins and I get: Also I checked the voltage across the polyfuse F1 and I get 4.7v on each side. I noticed that when the board is plugged, the lan9514 chip becomes very

In a 2012 interview with TechSpot, Raspberry Pi founder Eben Upton described the origin of the "Raspberry Pi" name in multiple parts. First, there's the fruit: "Raspberry is a reference to a fruit naming tradition in the old days of microcomputers. A lot of computer companies were named after fruit." Obviously, there's Apple, which is the most

You can test this using a USB power meter (picture below). When Raspberry Pi current draw increases, the cheap power adapter starts to dip voltage below 5V and then the Pi starts to stop working. Raspberry Pi B+ has under-voltage indicator. Here is a helpful post. EDIT (as explained to Chris):

@mitu. Yes, Club Kart European Session (Naomi 2) experiences massive frame drops, dropping under 50 fps in busy areas without Vulkan. However, with Vulkan and the 'per strip to fast' setting in lr-flycast, it runs at full speed, maintaining a steady 60 fps.

The thing you plug into your wall and then into a device is just a power supply. Perhaps the onboard regulator is fried. Try connecting the Pi to a 5V/3A power source via the 5V rail on the GPIO connector. This bypasses the regulator and all fuses, so be careful to connect it the right way.

Here's why Raspberry Pi is flying off the shelves - Finder UK

https://www.finder.com/uk/news/heres-why-raspberry-pi-is-flying-off-the-shelves
There was plenty of buzz around the possibility of a Raspberry Pi IPO, especially because it decided to list in the UK on the LSE. Last year, the UK missed out on a huge opportunity for the stock market when Raspberry Pi's co-worker and neighbour, Arm (ARM), decided to go public in the US and list on the Nasdaq stock exchange. It's worth

I'm not sure what you mean here. Edit after googling the PSU, yes I see what you mean. Jumpers and screw terminals between the psu and driver board are scary. Just be careful, you're not actually messing with mains, you're messing with 12v. There are also hats for raspberry pis that will do this much more elegantly.
