Dromida Ominus is a good beginner quadcopter. this is the second quad I've owned and it is by far better than the first. Well made and has good handling ability. As I have found with these small quads, they do not fly well in windy conditions. I lost my first quad on a very windy day when the wind carried the quad up and away in a blink of an eye.

Dromida does a good job of that (in contrast to their 1:18 trucks, which are not packaged nearly as nicely). The Ominus is available in four colors (red, blue, green, and yellow).
