Ammo management is the name of the game. With 4 rockets he's an unstoppable force but you can chew through that ammo without noticing. I'd suggest to always have atleast one rocket in your clip even if it means that you kill your initial enemy a bit slower (unless they are an active threat) so that when a new enemy arrives you can either rocket jump away or you can load another ammo and fight
