Ehh I disagree. Champs are generally more mechanically intensive on League relative to DOTA (if we're excluding items), but I wouldn't really call the vast majority of them very difficult anyway. And I'd say becoming good overall on League is a lot easier than becoming good overall on DOTA. Mechanics are the "easiest" part of each game imo

League of Legends vs. Dota 2: Which MOBA Should You Choose?

League of Legends and Dota 2 are both 5v5 games with 3 lanes and a jungle, but they have significant differences. League of Legends has an easier learning curve, while Dota 2 has a higher skill ceiling. Playing with friends can greatly enhance the experience in both games. Be prepared for a toxic community in both games, especially as a beginner.

League players need to push out waves and then setup to make a play as a team. If they don't, they bleed gold. What happens then in league is teams accepting the loss of an objective like dragon in order to gain gold on the map. Dota players don't need to worry about this part as much thanks to that global TP. Fights are more encouraged.

Aiming a skillshot is a mechanic, counter strafing in CSGO is a mechanic etc. Thats why when he says " Dota has plenty of click stuns and targeted abilities, but even though players have more buttons, the game doesn't require as high of a mechanical skill set as League." because while pressing Q then clicking on a hero is a mechanic its much

Doublelift specifically hones in on the game's "mechanical skill ceiling," and cites Dota 2's lack of regular skill shots and relative lack of mobility-based abilities as evidence. The entire map play of dota 2 is leagues better than LOPS it's more interesting and there is far more to do and manipulate. Laning phase is actually interesting and nuanced in dota. Ya but hes talkin mechanical in dota 2 vs league. Truthfully, since everyone has a skillshot, Id say it technically has more micro intensive shit, that is until 30 mins into the game where it's a stat stick battle half the time unlike in dota, where the start is sorta stat stick heavy, 30 mins into dota and it's a literal fucking battlefield

Yes, there are some people that play with locked camera but there is a reason why 99.9% of the high elo playerbase plays with unlocked. Same for Dota 2 players. There are very clear advantages of doing it. No one is denying that you could play without those advantages and still be good, however it's just stupid to say that it won't help.
