It's never a dull moment in the Vice Grip Garage world, and sometimes that means the car you least expect will be giving you trouble. In this case it is the truck that is questionable. The crew cab squarebody in particular which makes my heart hurt. But it is what it is. And what it is is broke. Well it's breaking. For some unknown reason.

Here's what I came up with: 2020 Ford F-150 XL: $40,350 MSRP. 2020 Chevrolet Silverado WT: $38,995 MSRP. 2019 Ram 1500 Classic (the new ram is N/A with a regular cab, in any trim): $37,735. And there's your issue. You used to be able to load a regular cab truck to the gills, and lots of guys wanted that.

Luckily they did not pry the door handle open so I don't have any body damage. Now I'm wondering what the best route to go would be to replace it.

I just got done with an engine for a guy that he broke the crank on- would start and idle fine, had throttle until about 2200rpm and then would start cutting out and running erratic.

99 % of the time that wire will be broken in the passenger side door jam opening or right where the wires go into the door or in the kick panel area of that checks out the other area would be the drivers door opening either door you usually find that tan wire or a wire broken in either door jam opening under the rubber boot once the wire is

Searched for how to go about replacing it and found some very good info. The problem is this info was on a truck with two glove boxes and they went through the upper box.

so a few weeks ago my wife and I bought a 2006 chevy colorado crew cab. it had a few minor simple things wrong with that that I talked the dealer down about $1000 for me to just fix it. so far its only cost me $100 and some time at the school shop getting school credit to fix them.

I left the heater blower box in the stock location and mini tubbed the firewall. Hyrdoboost off an HD truck.

I replaced my bolts with 10.9 plated flange bolts, and for the broken-off end bolts, I bought some Dorman kits that bolt to unused holes in the head to clamp down the exhaust. So far (after about 1.5 years) they seem to be working. 2004 Sierra 3500 dually, 6.0L extended cab, cab&chassis flatbed, upgraded to 4wd.
