The scuttle panel clips into the bottom of the windscreen (there is a channel on the underside) and its just held in place under the bonnet by the rubber weather seal. So it really is just a case of; - take wipers off. - pull rubber seal off. - pull scuttle panel upward at the bottom to lift it over the wiper spindles then pull it out.

Pugh125k. 27211 posts · Joined 2009. #2 · Sep 27, 2011. remove wipers, rubber seal & middle bit on scuttle panel should just pull off then undo 3 screws (one in the middle one on drivers one on passengers) and wiggle the scuttle panel free may have to pull up at the same time. taking it off is the easy part putting it back on is more tricky.

This is what i found under the scuttle panel. Then took the other plastic part off thats under the panel. Then under that one i found muck everywhere. This is full of dirty black water around my brake master cylinder. So i started removing bits and bobs like my windscreen wash bottle, alarm horns and fuse box so i could get underneath.

To remove the scuttle panel there a number of quarter release fasteners under the windscreen rubber which need to be released with a flat bladed screw driver before attempting to remove the scuttle panel. There's only a few screws to get it off, but to get drivers side one off you also need to remove windscreen wiper. The insignia scuttle panel is at a much steeper angle, so it sprays onto the windscreen. The Corsa panel is very horizontal so it sprays it onto the bottom of the windscreen and the scuttle panel.

Now for the support bolts. These require a 18mm Spanner and a 18mm Socket Undo the bottom one first and remove it completely. Then undo the top one but only remove the nut and leave the bolt in the Damper for now. Now its time to remove the Scuttle Panel. The rubber bit just pulls off. you might find it easier starting with the right passenger side half as thats on top. try pulling up from the right rise of the right trim panel. the bit which start wrapping up the A pillar. that bit with lift away first and help lift the lip out of the windscreen.
