Don't plop a photo on there and then drop the opacity down to like 50% and then layer more like that on the same spot. Bleh! Well, if during a project I was shown photobash concept-art of an environment, I would judge it based on the ideas. The method would be irrelevant. The photo bashing serves a practical function. On the other hand as a piece of art, in my view its value is diminished by the use of photobashing.

You still need to know and understand the basics in order to use properly photobashing. I'm pretty sure this artist would know how to paint entirely sth like this but due to the nature of the industry (everything needs to be done by yesterday), photobashing is a great way to speed up the process and show your AD/client either an idea or a
