S&S MK45 give a nice low frequency rumble at low RPM but the deer will hear you coming if you open up the throttle. These units are "SAE J2825" sound compliant and won't get you in trouble with the noise police. S&S also include a pair of baffles that you can readily install later if you wish to quiet them down some more with a resulting mild

Khrome Werks Harley performance exhausts are made of highly polished 16-gauge steel and have superior craftsmanship in chrome or black finish for maximum durability. Their aftermarket exhausts fit faster, simpler, and tighter than the competition. Backed by a rich history in racing, Khrome four-inch mufflers deliver enhanced horsepower and torque.

S&S MK45 vs Khromewerks 4.5 hp plus. Would love some feedback on which one would have a deeper tone with a complete stage 1. I've watched many videos on YouTube, but it's hard to justify from a iPhone recording. It would be great to hear from someone who is currently running either or.

Very deep and throaty, granted they are 4.5" diameter vs the Rinehart 4" diameter but they are AWESOME. Same head pipe very different sound. One comment to note that the pre-2017 slip-ons apparently came with a removable "DB reducer" which was essentially a quiet baffle that could be removed very quickly.

Khrome Werks I stumbled up on this muffler setup from Khrome Werks. Its for the M-8 uses the stock header and makes the exhaust a 2-1. They call it the "Torque Booster Kit". ... rinehart, fuelmoto, freedom, bassani, danmoto, thunderheader, khrome werks, cobra, v&h and on the M8 nothing sounded as good as the TAB slip ons sadly no youtube video

Here is a Harley cam comparison video that uses Khrome Werks mufflers and a D&D exhaust with 4 different cams. The point is these guys have tested all sorts of cam, headpipe and muffler combos and came up with these as being in their top picks. Listen to what is said about the mufflers compared to the 2:1 and the Fullsac header (I ran this

If you don't want super loud and don't care about power, just get slip ons with 2.5" or 3" baffles, and take the baffles out if you want it louder. 1. Deadringer81. • 1 yr. ago. I went cheap for exhaust on my 16 street glide. After hunting found shark road exhaust did the 4.5" no baffles was too much for me.

I should have used my pro-camera for manual sound levels. The Rinehart's are louder and I thought deeper sounding, though on the video it seems opposite.

Comparison. For the comparo, we procured four different pipes and baffle combinations to install and put to the test: The original stock Harley Davidson slip-ons with stock baffles. The Rinehart Moto-Pro slip-ons installed in Daytona. The new DBX 40 baffles in my Rinehart Moto-Pro Slip-ons. The new DBX45 4.5" Slip-ons for the Street Glide

KW makes HP Plus baffles for 1 3/4", 2" and 2 1/4" OD drag pipes. The 2 1/4" size fits the original StraightShots and I imagine a number of earlier generation V&H pipes using 2 1/4" OD tubing. The quiet baffles don't fit those earlier generation V&H models, only the "HS" versions, which are slightly larger in diameter.

Only about 30 miles so far but I absolutely love them. I did stage 2 this winter and it had WAY more bark after stage 2 with the Khrome Werks Dominator setup. I have spent most of my life on dirt bikes so the low-end loss or "dip" with no baffles was easily doable but the sound was just a tad too much.

Literally just put Khrome Werks 45's on, with the quiet baffle, yesterday. On initial startup I wasn't impressed and almost pulled the quiet baffle right there and then.. but decided to let it ride for the commute today (roughly 80 miles). I figured worst case, it's just 4 bolts to remove the tips, and another 4 to remove the baffles.

I saw a set of Rineharts on an '07 EG and they were beautiful! So I quickly canceled my order for the Khrome Werks slip ons and told my dealer to order a set of Rineharts for my '07 SERK. He called me back and told me the Rineharts won't fit the '07 SERK and so far there's no factory fix. DAMN! Now what? Back to the Khrome Werks???

roadpig. 1173 posts · Joined 2022. #8 · Oct 31, 2023. The Khrome Werks 4.5" slip-ons I bought new last year come with no baffles. Just the glass packing held in place with steel mesh. But there are four choices of baffles available from KW that are purchased separately. Spikey. Share.

If you love the 2 into 2 pipes and like the looks and sound of Rineharts than go for it. My experience is that V&H have a bit better quality than Rinehart...again only my humble opinion. Fullsac headers and Khromewerks 4.5" cans with the louvered baffles, and I LOVE both the sound and the power. The louvered baffle is the only one offered by Khromewerks that maintains the maximum amount of back pressure. The other two baffles they make (can't remember the names) may change the sound, but also reduce back pressure to the point
