I was watching Skins again when I got to this scene and somehow I realized something interesting. Sid asks Cassie if she's going to eat her apple and she says "yeah" because she's "better".

The closest thing I personally pulled was being forced to have some pre-dinner snacks around the dinner table and kind of miming eating them before just slipping them into my pockets while other people were talking. Though to be fair, Skins as a whole is a bit over the top, Cassie's just fitting in.

Even though she never said his name specifically, it's safe to assume she was talking about Sid. Basically after S2 when Cassie fled to NY, Sid eventually found her and they rekindled their relationship. They lived and travelled throughout the USA together before breaking up again prior to Skins: Pure.
