Even if we ignore tilting, there is a ~1/16000 chance of losing a coinflip 14 times in a row. There are a lot of people playing Overwatch who have played way more than 14 games, So why tf are you being placed at that rank if you lose 14 games in a row. Solo carrying is almost impossible in overwatch. The entire game was constructed in such a way that PERSONAL skill plays possibly the smallest role. Because a team of skilled players with no team communication is going to lose to a well communicated team of low skilled players. One player will nearly always lose to two.

In my experience, I was always gold damage, usually gold elims, and occasionally even had 4 gold medals, and even POTG, every single game, and still end up going 0-8 in one day. Feels bad.
