The new beta for Bubble Card is now available. I've added lots of new features and fixed many bugs since the first version. WLED and Govee at the same time! I was able to connect my ESP32 and my Govee controller to my Govee outdoor lights. Once I turn on my WLED controller, Home Assistant switches my relays to the WLED Data line and when switched off it goes back to the Govee setup. It's not pretty, waiting for a resistor or may add a level shifter, but it works! 30

Just open up the govee Controller and see which line is which (+\•\data) before cutting it. There are Little Symbols. The esp32 needs 5v power from the power adapter and so do the LEDs. The data pin from the esp32 needs to be conmected to the data wire of the LEDs. The curtain has 520 ws2812 in a 20x26 Matrix. You can set everything up in wled.

The Govee app is the main way to control and customize the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro. As mentioned, you can use third-party apps to control the lights, but with so many options available, you really need to use the Govee app to get the full experience. Unfortunately, the Govee app is not great.

Mirroring can be done in two ways: Reverse the strip and feed data from the other end. Easiest if you have your controller in the center (between the two strips). Then you can just feed the same data line to each strip. I'm sure there's a way to set up two segments to be identical in software and you can flip one - then if you want them to be

Govee probably has no real interest in people being able to use their devices without having to install their software. But -> see 2. You can easily replace the Govee controller with a WLED one. For example, "Gledopto" sells WLED Controllers that have easy to use cable connectors. And you can use the powersupply that came with your controller.

Yes, it is possible to do this. So far, I've been able to mod a govee strip (H6159) that uses PWM to change the RGB colors (meaning that the LEDs aren't individually addressable). I used the Govee controller's components to power a Wemos D1. The 3 of the D1's GPIOs were connected to N-FETs (also built into the Govee controller) to control the LEDs.

TBH though it totally depends on the length of your run and what you're trying to accomplish. I've set up a few WLED things but for most stuff I find it much easier and cost effective to use off the shelf stuff, like govee LAN control strips with govee2mqtt. You can usually find out if a Govee strip is LAN capable by searching amazon comments.

I have a Govee LED Curtain Light and the application that comes with it is dogshit. I expected the app would have a lot more functionality. It's extremely limited in terms of what you can do with the lights. The primary limitation is the lack of smooth light transitions (like the lights dimming on and off or slowly shifting in hue between colors)
