This could've been posted in two possible places, but since it involves SONAR directly, I posted it here. I have SONAR X1 Producer and an M-AUDIO. Separately, they work great, but I'm having issues when trying to consume the device from SONAR. The points in particular are: 1) Inputs routed to audio tracks are stuttery and clicky.

Now, you need to set the Sample Rate in Sonar to match the setting for Sample Rate for the audio interface (44.1). To do this, go to Preferences>Audio>Driver Settings, and you will see Sample Rate. Change the Sample Rate to 44.1 and click Apply. That should now match your audio interface, and that is important. 9.

Re: Setting up a microphone via Sonar X1 2013/06/29 11:48:11 ( permalink ) 1) SONAR will work fine with the microphone. 2) No drivers are needed with the microphone, the audio interface handles all the connection details. The audio interface would require a driver. The microphone does require phantom power.

https://discuss.cakewalk.com/topic/59206-two-audio-interfaces-just-for-playback/
Cakewalk can't support it, well rather, most hardware can't do it. Both interfaces would need to be driven by the same word clock and unless the interfaces have clock in and out (and most don't) it wouldn't work. If you need more outputs - get an interface with more outputs.

Some audio interfaces refer to their stereo inputs as pairs, like 1/2, 3/4 or 5/6. Most often left channels are represented by odd numbers and right channels are represented by even numbers. Note: Most microphones and guitars are mono, so you'll want to select either the left or right channel accordingly.

This will launch your audio interface's proprietary control panel. Adjust the buffer settings accordingly. NOTE: for the majority of dedicated audio interfaces you will want to use ASIO drivers for the best stability. This can be applied by going to Edit > Preferences > Audio - Playback and Recording and setting the Driver Mode to ASIO.

Everytime I exit new Sonar, Videos in Google Chrome do only run in Slow Motion and I have no Audio on speakers. Using the same Audio Card (Steinberg UR44C) for Windows and Sonar, no problems after quitting Reaper, Cubase or Studio One! The only way to resolve it is to restart Windows, just log out doesn't help! Thanks:) Bassman.
