For shorter distances (like <1000 blocks) I way prefer rail systems over nether travel. Maybe I'll change my mind with the new nether content but nether travel is just so visually boring. Plus I really hate the portal sounds. Overworld rail travel gives you plenty of space to build interesting set pieces along the way.

Its called RandomSpawn. You are supposed to do that. Just keep on killing yourself, and look on the map until you respawn near a city/town. Then make your way to that town, and farm food. Then head to the nether, it should be connected to the nether roads. Then you find a city to settle in!

As I said we are from Athens and my brother used that as an example plus a lot of imagination. In Greece's metro line everything is in pristine condition which shows in his builds. Anyway this is why minecraft is great , everyone can find a style they like and create whatever they want. I appreciate the feedback though.

Not yet really, I'm not even 20% done with it, but it's basically a circle 201 blocks in diameter in the middle of the ocean. I'll empty it out from the water and turn the seafloor into a hellish wasteland and build a castle in the shape of a pentacle in it held up by several pillars.
