The key is going to be to clean the tub before and after use, and also in between groups. Sounds like a lot of work, but compare that to cleaning 20 tanks after the turtles repeatedly make a mess from being sloppy eaters. I have also never experienced a lonely turtle. Posted October 5, 2007. My turtles got sick and we had to put them in separate tanks and give them shots. We now have our DBT in a 55-gallon tank by herself. We haven't put anything else in there except her basking spot. We were waiting to make sure she got healthy, but I wonder if she gets bored in this totally barren tank.
