The lofi production makes it sounds like a disco krautrock crossover that was being listened to in Dusseldorf at the time - it's got disco xylophone to make Roy Ayers turn around and folk guitar but not as bizarre as i'd have hoped for. Germany, Braunschweig. They are still active, but without Bernd Noske they are not the "real" Birth Control. Noske died in 2014, it was never given a cause for his death. Nobody knows til today why he really died. Birth Control were one of the great german rock bands that became famous in other countries. Her greatest hit of course was Gamma Ray.
