2nd gen seats are way more comfortable than 03-05, cloth especially, but even the leathers were nicer. 3rd gen rides marginally better if it's not a 4x4 dually. Brakes are night and day, 3rd gens stop on a dime with a heavy enough leg (or 2), handling is on rails with the proper front end parts and 09+ steering.

1,300+ HP 5.9L. Instead of running a sleeved, stroked and deck-plated 6.7L block like virtually everyone else in truck pulling these days, Clint Mills prefers his East Coast Diesel -built 5.9L Cummins. For optimum structural strength, the cast-iron crankcase utilizes a standard bore and concrete filled water jackets.

Folks at Hoonigan have recently come up with a new upload and featured the 1,300 horsepower Cummins mid-engine straight-six Ram pickup truck in their YouTube channel's This vs. That video. Contrary to the 570S which remains in its factory performance, similar cannot be said for the Ram, given it has gone through an engine transformation from

Jim Morrison, VP of RAM, said, "Yeah, we are not scrubbing any of the torque. It is available right off the get go. It really helps get the big trailers

Both have a good aftermarket following. Both have problems that will need looked at eventually. 7.3 power stroke has some plugs in the heads that start to leak fuel after awhile, cummins has the killer dowel pin. The dodge WILL bottom out the stock front end on any bump or dip worth its salt.

I can hopefully give some perspectives, as I just went from a 2011 F-350 to a 2017 RAM 3500. A few observations: 2011 was the first year of the all-new, Ford "Scorpion" motor. Prior to 2011, the trucks had 6.0 and 6.4 motors from International. THAT is where, in some cases, the cab had to be removed.

The Dodge has a great turning radius making it a lot easier to back up that gooseneck. The Dodge does eat front end components like track bars and ball joints, but are easily upgraded. Your Cummins will get better mileage. A lot of guys here report as high as 22-25 mpg highway. I personally got 24 going coast to coast.
