The 335d is a sub 5 seconds 0-60 car with the option of 50mpg on a motorway run, and can't see the AMG C63 getting anywhere near this. I believed the remap to 390bhp would improve the acceleration

Bmw 335d xdrive remaps. as above.racechip sounds like a fastfood english takeaway.. Racechip is a tuning box, not a remap. Having run a tuning box prior to having my 330d remapped, I'd steer clear. On the F3x series cars, including your 335d, remaps can now be done without first having to remove the ECU from the car (all over OBD).

When I bought the 335d, I came from a similar car (F31 330d) and the dealer pointed out a couple of key things to me which were I believe as a result of the X-Drive: 1) The turning circle was wider. I gather this was owing to the need for a smaller steering rack to be fitted. 2) The suspension was higher.

A friend of mine has a 2018 F31 and was complaining about the same thing, didn't want to compromise on the ride too much so just changed the springs, think it was around £450 -£500 fitted inc geometry set up. It's no M3 but made a massive difference in handling without compromising on ride comfort or insurance issues.
