What you are refering to is the plated drive, I think the 1200 used M-F 188 rearends, you may find a breaker. I think the 1250 used MkII M-F 590 rear ends so they could be different. If the plated drive was 1200 only it would be NLA by now, I tried to get some 1250 transmission components back in the late 1990s, they had gone NLA in 1992.

Look at the massey's or ferguson or massey ferguson or harry ferguson so many different choices, guess it would depend on what you want the tractor to do when you are done. My 35 has a live PTO, really nice and it is perfect for a small acreage. There are lots of restorable tractors out there. Good looking and most of all have fun doing it.

Ive just read a service bulletin. Tractors from serial no M900952 had wet brakes as standard and an wet brake conversion kit was supplied from Dec 1977 would that suggest 952 were built with dry brakes? i belive around 2500 were built in total, i will have to look to see what serial no mine is
