In Rogue, basically two things happen in New York at all. It's where Shay becomes a Templar and its where Shay kills Hope. That all happens in basically one fifth of New York's map. Same with the River Valley and North Atlantic. Rogue is about 3 hours story and more than 40 hours of copy-pasted side content.

The thing that is preventing you from 100% clear a location is the area "Fort" or "Gang hideout". While it is present it will block certain activities at locations. Both of these become available once you have done one mission involving them. These should get unlocked a handfull of few missions after Lisbon. 1.

The assassin's creed is secondary to the setting instead of the setting being a backdrop to make an AC story. Of the RPG trilogy, Origins felt more like a balance between the importance of the setting versus the importance of making an AC game, which is probably why many of us rank Origins higher than Odyssey and Valhalla.

As someone that played the first Assassin's Creed game, reached 100% over a decade ago and was convinced off of collecting everything in these games from that experience, I just finished up 100% synchronization in Rogue (after it being pretty much the only game I played for the duration of 35 hours I played it).

Gameplay If you played Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, you have essentially played Rogue. All the mechanics (aside from some minor weapon changes and ship combat additions) are cut and pasted from Black Flag. Still the games feel very different. Black Flag was, at heart, a pirate game. Rogue, on the other hand, is an Assassin's Creed game.

if rogue is gonna be 7 hours which I still do not believe, it will be 3 hours shorter than the ten hour assassin's creed liberation and that game is 20 euro. rogue is 60 euro and i don't think they could do this to us with a normal priced game it seems kinda odd!

The sailing mechanics were slightly better than Black Flag, and the parkour environments in Rogue were much better than the ones in AC3 (comparing those games maps since both were in The Northeastern part of America.) Lastly, it wraps up "The Kenway" saga, and sets up the beginning of AC: Unity with great fluidity.
