I Like the city building + warfare kind of gameplay both of these games had. Potentially also games somewhat alike the old Settlers games, where building a base or city was very important. Most of the new games I've seen are either in a modern setting and don't really appeal to me, or lack totally seem to lack any warfare based gameplay.
