Annie was the proud recipient of the 2020 Whippoorwill Arts Award, and as part of the festivities she had a 45 minute set on Sunday. I also attended, and did my best to stay out of the way. We actually took the time to use individual mics, as opposed to our usual Thursday livestreams, so the sound is a bit better.

He met her mother, from Japan, at an old-time music gathering in Osaka. They eventually married in San Francisco, where Annie was born and where music was a part of their daily life.
