New Edge 3V Swap. Hey Guys, I've come to this forum many times over the years and gathered a lot of really useful information. So first of all, thank you. Second, I've just started a new project of swapping an aluminum block 4.6 3V into my 2V New Edge GT. My reasons for choosing the 3V basically boiled down to weight.

Coyotes are awesome. 4V is better than 3V. 3V is better than 2V. Any of them can dial up more than enough hp with what's available today from the aftermarket.

Either option is better than a coyote swap imo, but both together is about as good as you can get It sounds expensive, but 5 grand is cheaper than a new car, plus a built 3v is better than a stock coyote and can handle more boost than you'll probably ever be able to make. 3v is goat

But, back on topic since it sounds like you are determined to do it. From what I've heard, the new 5.0 is not based on the current block, so pretty much custom everything will be required. Like Trinity said, nobody's done it, and we're not Ford engineers, so the only way to find out is buy the engine and start fabbing.

That was me being sarcastic. BTW, the 260/302 2V will rape your 3V truck. I know that it may be hard to understand since your 3V "has more power". Ugh.
