Two fav little tricks of mine: conditional trigs that cut volume to 0. Adds some glitchy unpredictability to drums and melodies. Also acts as a choke. Copy/pasting the percussion track and layer different kicks/snares/w/e. Then change the pattern length and/or making a few of the trigs conditional.

Other one : say your long sample is a pad and you have an infinite release on amp envelope. You can just hit stop, let it evolve while switching to pattern A02 (track 8 muted) and hit play : the new beat can have a different BPM, pas de problème !!
