easy answer about where the old man arisen goes at the end: he has no idea, he literally tells us that while he sees the brine as something or someone telling us "there's nothing more out there, don't bother" he specifically says he wants to try and confirm that himself, so when we free the world of the brine he finally gets his chance, of course if they decide to use him as an expansion starter he could just come back, tell us about it and offer to take us there
Edit: and let's not forget the brine isn't a 100% foolproof deterrent, since in DD1 Olra somehow found a way around the brine to get us from cassardis to Bitterblack Isle so it wouldn't technically break lore for him to take us there "before" the end

So Funfact in DD1 the brine is said to actually be a very recent thing in that games timeline at least close to the shore it may have exsisted in the deep oceans but some people in the starting town mention that the brine has only just started showing up to their knowlage and given that they would most likely fish a good ways offshore who knows.

The cycle isn't broken at the true end, it is repaired. When we broke the cycle the world was turned into the red hellscape, by sacrificing ourselves we became the new Pathfinder and thus returned the world to what it was and allowed the old hermit by the sea to leave. But the cycle still persist and new game plus proves it because just like the first game, new game plus isn't just a game mechanic it is also a narrative mechanic as well.

Just wondering if anyone have encounter a very short, like maybe 5 minutes side quest.... After you release Magistrate Waldor from the Goal, and then do the Masquerade, then sleep until morning, after that still in your Courtly Attire(have not tried with normal attire), go to the Gracious Hand Vault and talk to Waldor, he will then talk about his Spectacles, and have you go into the Masquerade Ballroom and find his spectacles, after that just bring the spectacles to him... I've forgot what the rewards was...
1. Do note that this was on my 4th playthrough, so the side quest for the Maester Teaching I did not do, meaning the quest for the Tome for the Sorceress I did not engage.
2. Not sure if whether you need to do the Masquerade beforehand or not, because I done it after.
I have played DD2 for over 200 hours and a total of 6th playthrough, and on my 4th playthrough, i just stumble on this side quest unexpectedly...
Will start on my 7th playthrough after and when there's new content added...
Side Note, if anyone is still interested in the Lordly Eyepatch, there are 2 pawns that have it as the quest reward.
1st pawn, forgot the pawn ID, but the Quest was ridiculous, it wanted the Arbor Seedling/Cutting, literally the quest item.
2nd pawn ID was 09RVSICWL0IB, the quest was to defeat 1 Lesser Drake. (Credit to Anonymous in the comment on Fextralife.com)

Now I actually know what this is about: the class part was such an inconsequential afterthought that anyone would come up with it didn't even register as that could be an issue, having looked at the original post it had like 20 up votes, never touched the front page and generally how would I have ever seen it without searching for it but then how would I know what to search for to begin with? It doesn't make any logical sense, the thought thread of barbarian esque people on tapestry, need a savage yet magic class to fit both them and trickster, oh shaman is perfect, the class in 9000 other games, oh that's a bonus some trickster armor helps give it credibility, done. Like it's so small and not the point of video that it's crazy to me people are buying this guys main character syndrome, he's not the first to make these basic observations and he won't be the last. Actually blown away that's what this all is. As for your credit idea on paper yeah fair enough but if I start retroactively crediting people I didn't know existed for an idea I didn't know they had it opens the flood gates for everyone to do the same in any video that happens to have something similar in it to X persons post/video etc and that's obviously terrible. I'm really proud of the theories here and quite frankly I'm not going to have it smeared any further by giving someone credit because I bruised their ego by daring to have similar simple thoughts. Honestly blown away, it says a lot the idea it's anything to do with vocations never even entered my head. Past that it's literally my own theory from 2 weeks ago (https://youtu.be/dWvOxAXLWEE?si=DYh3B9irEP-aV_u5), part of which is me becoming the first person ever to spot the Lindwurm and publicly talk about it, expanded on with new evidence, credited and linked if said evidence is not from me.
