Poor Jon :( Your expressions are great.
But I love the parallel between Jon and Helen and Melanie and Jon. Both saying to the others face, that they think, that they are just monsters wearing a persons face they once knewed. Like Helen was big foreshadowing for Jon's development and I think he fellt that and was afrait of it and this is the main reason he reacted to Helen coming back like he did.

problem i got with melanie is that unlike other angy characters who are flawed/damaged/etc is that melanie was never really able to admit that she's the only one in the magnus archives who chose to be there. Tim, Sasha, Martin, Jon, Basira, and Daisy were all tricked or forced into becoming monsters but melanie joined up knowing how bad it would be seemingly just because martin told her not to.

(I'm in the middle of listening this series for the first time and in the beginning of season 4 so no spoilers please)
I feel both sorry for Melanie and angry at her. I mean, I guess the Slaughter (?) bullet is making her anger intensify, and it is a very justified anger, considering the surrounding situation. But I think she (and Basira) is being kinda unfair to Jon. He didn't choose this either and he's trying to survive just like the rest of them. Sure, he got awesome powers, but he also lost his humanity for gods' sakes.
