Nice video ..... but ..... it gives the impression that the train only gets up to 20 mph since you film only the approaches to and departures from the stations which does illustrate why the train takes so long but some filming of fast running between stations would improve the video experience imo, just let the video run time increase.

Ah Campbelltown, my old stomping ground. I recently took the Dubbo XPT from Central to Tarana. At 186cm I found the legroom wasn't great, though at least my knees weren't up against the seat in front, I was in first class, and because I couldn't stretch my legs out they did become a little cramped. I also found after about an hour I did get a sore bum, and just couldn't find a comfy position. If that was 3 hours wroth, I'd hate to imagine what it'd be like on the 12 hour run to Melbourne. A lounge car, like they used to have, would certainly make the trip more enjoyable.
