Demi Lovato - EAT ME! (Official Live Performance)

Demi Lovatoā€™s ā€˜HOLY FVCKā€™ is a pure distillation of the superstarā€™s creative ethos: theyā€™ve spent the bulk of their career emphasizing honesty, and their eighth studio album walks the same path. It arrives as the incredibly successful pop singer turns the page on their twenties and launches into their thirties. So it makes sense they would turn to a new sound, too. ā€˜HOLY FVCKā€™ is a rock album. The genre choice makes sense considering the project is designed as a bright stage, one on which main character Demi wrestles with some of lifeā€™s overwhelming challenges. For all to see. At 15 years old, Demi said that metal music fascinated them. Armed with well-earned creative freedom, they have the greenlight to accelerate full throttle into this genre thatā€™s alway intrigued them. ā€œEAT ME!ā€ crushes from all angles. Relentless tsunami-sized waves of distorted guitars. Brutal truths screamed into the mic. And a hauntingly captivating feature from rising rocker Royal & the Serpent. RIP to your speakers.

ā€˜the girl you knew before, sheā€™s dead, itā€™s time to fucking mournā€™ is without a doubt the best sentence said in any song ever written when talking about oneself. the old demi canā€™t come to the phone right now.

As someone who has been following Demi for ages, it is clear as day that she is way more comfortable in this music genre. Their stage presence says it all. During her pop days, she used to look low key embarrassed and not that comfortable on stage. Seeing their latest performances, I get that donā€™t forget/hwga vibe and she owns the stage. I missed that so much

As someone who's been here since their Camp Rock days... it was always this genre for Demi. I think everyone who has followed Demi for a long time wanted this music. Screw sales, screw numbers, screw award nominations. True, deep music is not what you find on the mainstream radio stations. It's THIS. And whether it has 17 views, a million or 7 billion - it is a goddamn masterpiece with raw emotion. There's nothing more to ask.

Demiā€™s return to rock didnā€™t disappoint me one bit. This collab w/ Royal & The Serpent is one of the reasons why. šŸ–¤šŸ–¤šŸ–¤

I am so amazed by the fact that this live version tops the original. The power of their voices and the guitars in this version is unreal

I like when artists switch genres fully. And yes I'm aware that Demi has done pop punk in the past but this...this is on a much MUCH bigger much different level. They went ALL OUT on this new era. And I know that she'll keep doing more of those types of songs in the future too which I'm super excited for since this is the type of thing I'm normally into but I love all sorts of music though. This is the type of song I wish more pop artists would create. Pop is great but THIS is better.

I kinda dig it I must admit. Her voice goes well with this genre.

True rock never judges. Her voice is perfect for rock. She can express all her pain and weā€™ll accept her

This is like the exact kind of music I hoped she would always do because she has the voice and the personality. These lyrics are so powerful & Iā€™m so proud of her - a girl whoā€™s watched the camp rock movies a million times šŸ’•

I was kinda surprised when I found out this was Demi. I love that she is being herself or finding herself again. She looks so good and comfortable in this song. Love it when artists love the songs they make. ā¤

Not that Demi was bad at pop music, it was great, but I feel like she was MEANT to be a rockstar, this just feels so natural
