Dear Andrew, I first discovered you as an incredible artist and singer, but then became interested in the social and political dimension of your work too through the lyrics of your songs. Thank you for using your voice to support important causes. The podcast is great! As someone finishing a degree in simultaneous interpreting I appreciate this information even more. "Nina cried power" is the song that brings my power back when I'm feeling low. Thank you!

I just want to stand up and applaud! What a dream it is to listen to Hugh Evans, and to marvel at how efficient and productive this organization is! How wonderful to get the distillation on all of these big big topics by someone who is really truly knowledgeable about them, and to understand that forward movement is possible! He says "This is like democracy on steroids. This is the immense power of music to unite humanity at key moment for key issues, and this can be done every day of the year." This gives hope! Amen!

I love how Hugh was inspired and moved at such a young age to make a difference in the world! Going as far as applying for a scholarship so he could live in India for a whole year at the tender age of 15 to gain more knowledge on the pure teachings of Mother Theresa. The excitement exuded from him is uplifting and hopeful for our future and the future of the next generations! Hughs dedicated hard work and persistence does not go unnoticed and he’s truly making a difference in our beautiful world! Thank you for everything, Hugh and Andrew for your kind and loving hearts & of course these podcasts! πŸ–€πŸ’«

I have SO many questions after listening to this. I'd love to hear HOW one goes about organizing a big concert. How did people like Bono hear about it? As a person who activism is mostly in the left (which uses different tactics than this), this is very interesting to hear about but also sounds so ... not bizarre but unfamiliar because I know people who have organized a protest where 100's of people showed up and that was amazing, but I never hear of people i know doing something like this. (except maybe Occupy Wall Street. The earlier days did attract a number of famous folks. But most events are like a pebble in the pond. I don't often hear of these large events happening and so my brain wants to know the logistics. That said getting involved with Global Citizen via their site has been interesting for me as an activist, not just because it exposes to different tactics (which is always good to hear how other people are doing it. Good to grow and learn) but also keeps me informal on a global level, as there is so much fuckery sometimes just going on locally, let alone nationally, that I just don't always hear about more global issues with a great amount of detail.

Hozier was amazing at the edmonton folk fest. And even better that we had front row seats. It was crazy though. People were pushing and elbowing other people. I love Hozier!!!

World leaders are incredibly powerful and they are in love with the power they have over folks.raising people up to be equal and unite isnt on their list of things to do as that would mean them losing some of that power. But theres certainly nothing wrong with trying to get them to do the right thing keep up the good workπŸ’ͺ✊2030
