This is an emotionally powerful and moving rendition of a song that she wrote for her child and I was so lucky to have witnessed and experienced it. Sometimes the raw, stripped down songs are the ones that stick with you the longest, far after you have heard them, and this is one of those songs for me. It made it even far more powerful hearing her little speech beforehand, and it saddens me that more people with a platform aren't more open and honest about things that many other people face, but are too afraid to speak about because they fear being judged or ridiculed. I personally feel that the more people talk about issues, the more they will realize they are not alone in their thoughts and through communication, communities can be built where people can help and support one another through trying times. The more we acknowledge things, the easier it will ultimately be for people to manage and survive those things.

I know it has been a while since I have been active and it is partially because I don't have a ton of more new material to release at the moment and partially because I have been really busy with "real life" stuff. Now that I have a little bit of time once again, (for the next week anyways,) I'll try to see if I have any more material worth releasing. I think I still have some, it will just be getting to it.
