I liked how the fights looked like they made real contact. Not like those distance, camera angle illusion like you see in Punisher/Daredevil or The Dark Knight Rises with Batman vs Bane, where you can clearly see they aren’t making contact.
Conor explained in an interview how they were able to do this. Multiple shots with putting a pad on their faces, and hitting that pad, then redoing it where they roll the punches off. So that was neat.

Hey, the first Road House wasn’t any Shakespeare. This version, with the chill Florida setting, was perfectly fine. The only part I truly missed from the original was when Patrick Swayze spoke the greatest line in cinematic history, ‘Pain don’t hurt’ as he’s getting stitched up from a knife wound. I’m sitting here thinking ‘yes, it does, that’s the definition of pain’.

Roadhouse 2024 was better than i expected. There's only a few minor changes needed. But apart from that, Connor McGregor was brutal and hilarious an unforgettable scene was the old man still dancing with maracas after a huge bar fight. Dare i say Amazon should consider making a Roadhouse series called Dalton. Each series in a different bar in a different town different villains etc. It might just work.

Can't argue Conor McGregor is not an actor but man I had a blast watching him in this movie. Most villains are always portrayed in stern serious way but his character/persona in this movie was comedy gold. Yes it was over the top in the way he walked, they way moved and the way he delivered his dialogue but by the end I had a smile on my face watching him tear through the movie. I had a blast with this flick and enjoyed it for what it was.

Best line in the movie McGregor: "Our own little octagon." Gyllenhaal: "Who taught you shapes?"
