An interview from the 1993 Dutch documentary which aired on PBS in the states.

Hosted by Dutch journalist Wim Kayzer, A Glorious Accident (Een schitterend Ongeluk) was filmed in the Netherlands by VPRO and produced by Nellie Kamer. The series, comprising interviews and a roundtable discussion, was shown in 1993 on Dutch television and in the United States on WNET TV in 1994. It was a huge hit in Holland and the companion book was a number one best seller there. In an interview about it, Rupert said, "It was a media phenomenon, and it was the most fruitful of anything I've ever done in terms of the response I've gotten. When I go to Holland, people stop me on the street and talk to me on the trains. They just want to talk about scientific ideas."

Watch the roundtable:

I can think of few minds for whom I am more grateful than those of Rupert, Cosmo, and Merlin Sheldrake. Their contributions to the collective consciousness are so precious and comforting to me. It's a relief to know there are humans such as these out there. Deep respect and gratitude. (And this interview is a gem.)

Sheldrake has an open mind, other "scientists" have closed minds. This is the reason all paradigm shifts come from outwith the group think.

This is a very beautiful piece of television and a fascinating interview. The director and film crew really set a scene of calm and tranquility. Rupert and the others discuss within this, in a way that transcends the mind.

The smile in your eyes NEVER leavesā€¦.
You KNOW you are, soon enough,to shown to be rightā€¦.
Iā€™ve no idea why learned people fight your ideas,Iā€™m not a learned person but your ideas are perfectly honest and truly easily understood by meā€¦..
You arenā€™t contrived or a smart arse, you have spent your life building on these ideas and you arenā€™t a snake oil seller, you are a beautifully gifted man with beautifully crafted ideasā€¦.
You ARENā€™T the new Darwin or Einstein, you are you and truly unique and your ideas are unfortunately too big and bold for the establishmentā€¦.
Which makes you dangerousā€¦..
But if they canā€™t prove you wrong, then they shouldnā€™t spend time shouting you downā€¦..
Amazing man and humanā€¦

The Church of Wikipedia makes sure to introduce him as a parapsychology researcher and makes every effort to discredit him from the start of his bio. Disgusting šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼ā€¦. but Iā€™am not swayed a bit.
You are a true hero sir.

I keep thinking and talking about concepts which I then hear rupert talking about in a video a few days later. He's very synchronous, I believe his world view and way of life synchronizes him with the universe.

"Dreams are unlimited, whereas science is limited by reality through the experimental method" . I love this as at articulates how much mainstream science cannot truly discover due to it's limitations in comparison to the spiritual world.

Please put VPRO "Een schitterend Ongeluk" in the title too, so other deeply affected Dutch people like me can find this too.
