my german friend said the same sentiments. she said, "I did not travel 2 days overseas to meet another german" and she always compared bread to germany to other countries 😭

Happened to me in a TINY TINY village in Ghana. In the middle of bloody nowhere! Schwaben! And even one of the locals greeted me with "Häusle baue" - the only German words he knew.

I'm half Japanese and half German. I look more Japanese to German people, so when I talk to them in German, they get super surprised. I love their reactions.

I also noticed this, I 'm from southern Italy in a house in a Mountain in the middle of the woods and no neighbors and the only way you can get here is by entering our private road almost a kilometer long away from the road the public uses, and yet one time, I was outside enjoying some sun and I see people I don't know which for the place where I live it was really weird, they were obviously tourists, and when they noticed that I noticed them they said "HALLO" in the most german way possible, turned around and walked all the way back to where they came from, I was quite sad cuz I wanted to offer something to drink, since my house is so isolated, even if you're just outside and not inside I already think of you as a guest

As a travelling German, I can confirm that this is 100% accurate. I always tell the people I meet on the road "you cannot escape the f@%&ing Germans" while rolling my eyes in digust. 😂

‘It ruins the whole point of traveling’ … ‘I have some beer’ 😁 no podría ser más acertado. Divertido e inteligente como siempre, muy bueno!

I’m Dutch and we have two types of people. One type is like in this video, don’t wanna see someone even remotely resembling a dutch person. The other is ‘let’s find other dutch people and socialise constantly until the holiday is over’

Same for Russians. I'm half Korean and half Mongol, so I don't look like an ordinary Russian, but I was born in Moscow and Russian is my native language. When me and my family were in Paris (it was February, not holiday season), we heard in metro on Russian "Again Chinese". I answered them in Russian: "Yes, I think like you". Their expressions were priceless.

Reminds me of the time my husband and I were in the kitchen of a campsite in New Zealand with 10 other people, speaking English. After some time we came to realise everyone was German!😂

Oh Mann das war echt so gut. Jeder kennts, wenn ein anderer Deutscher den Mund aufmacht und man sofort hört, dass er Deutscher ist 😂 Da bringt auch die beste Verkleidung als Einheimischer nichts.
