I relate to what you said about being your true self when you are alone. When I was young, I never wanted to be alone but now that I am much older I find that I enjoy spending my day with just me and my dog. Like you, I can be around friends and really enjoy their company. But, afterwards I need alone time to decompress. Traveling in a van my friends were worried Iβd get lonely. Heck, we know being alone with a dog is the best thing about living in an rv or van. This video is in my heart because I absolutely understand what youβre saying.

Alone. These videos posted by you and others like yourself help me out a lot. My wife passed 1 year and 1 month ago. Her dog, Lilly, became my dog. Now Lilly just passed last month. What these videos do for me is helping to survive. You and Bob (what's his name) :) are the best. I spent the 5 and a half years caring for my wife with dementia. She passed at home and her ashes are placed here with her many horses and other pets from our time together. We were together 37 years. Anyhow, during that time, 5years, I started building a van and acquiring things to hit the road. Many reasons for that. Like maybe losing everything to pay for care for her. I am so very glad and lucky I never placed her in a facility. It would have cost over 10k a month. After which you can go on Medicaid and it is paid, but, then the state gets your house. Enough of that ramble.... I am learning to be alone now. We live very rural in the Cascades in Oregon. No one has come up our driveway since she passed. Before that, years between anyone coming here. We had plenty of animals, all fun. Fun time. We liked being alone. All the horses had to be placed during the 5 years, and all the other animals except for her Lilly. So, now it me here. I don't want others around so much. Just miss my wife. This video is so like my days now. Like you, I work at home, keeps me not to busy. Thank you for these moments in this video. Through the past 5 years, they have helped me to survive. No bills to pay anymore. Free here. We enjoyed the alone time, now I am adjusting to serious alone time. I'm going to get a dog next month, making a careful choice. The quiet is good. No input from society is good. Be well Carolyn. π

Me too Carolyn,
I'm 76 and with a past of sexual abuse at 10, again at 16 and married to abusive men, I find complete solitude, approval and total completeness being alone with my sweet companion and guardian dog.
I love the beauty of nature.
Stay safe. You have been an inspiration to me and so many others. β€β€β€π

Hi Carolyn, glad you're back and have solitude, this video looks so peaceful. Sadie is so adorable and such a happy and lucky dog to have you. Just wanted to mention that if you go near the Colorado river, sometime in the future, please don't let Sadie go in the river. There is a parasite worm in the river that is either making the dogs sick or killing them. I forgot what exactly it is, but it was on the news a few weeks ago. Also thanks for the lemon and ginger recipe, I'm going to try that. Take care and looking forward to the next video. β₯ π

My blood pressure dropped 10 points watching this. Being alone in nature, one realizes that one is actually a part of nature. And that changes everything.
