I've had five courses of electroconvulsive therapy for severe, treatment-resistant depression as well as having tried nearly all the antidepressants on the market to no avail. Only ECT and ketamine truly helped with my depression, and I'd recommend that ketamine be more available to the severely depressed as it has helped me a lot.

Just had my first treatment, honestly I felt WORSE afterwards ans the next day...but by day 3 I had this bizarre clarity on everything...I was still very depressed but I all of sudden could easily verbalize and point to the things that were causing me to feel depressed, things I hadn't confronted or even thought about despite decades of severe depression...all of a sudden every the stressor became so much easier for me to verbalize what they were, where they came from...now, I do NOT feel any less depressed because these things still exist, but the fact I can see the roots of my feelings more clearly is a big step...many more treatments to come, I'm hopeful that a means of coming to terms with and attacking these issues will slowly become more apparent to me...this is tje most progress I've ever made tho

I just had a minimally invasive spine surgery and they gave me ketamine for pain instead of Opiates due to me being on Suboxone because of prior addiction issues, the Ketamine was given along with the anesthetic they used to put me under, after the surgery I felt amazing, had to fast before hand and in the recovery room they gave me animal crackers and coffee, it was the best meal I ever had ! I'd love to try this therapy because I deal with sadness and depression, but I'm sure it's very expensive and not approved by medicare insurance.

I'm supposed to start ketamine troches soon (Really low dose). I have bad dizziness most of the time and, wondering if anyone noticed if ketamine has helped with that? I have TRD / GAD and, some SSRI meds would take away almost all of my dizziness. (For me, it's definitely related to anxiety). The effects don't last but a month and, I'm back to feeling really dizzy. What I'm hoping is if I start out slow, the dizziness will go away. From there, I'd be able to handle to take higher doses.
Has anyone else had issues with that and it made them less dizzy? That's what I'm most worried about. It's hard to find someone with those specific issues. I'm running out of treatment options. (Tried meds/TMS/therapy)
