i was listening to a taylor swift monologue about songwriting ( which i translated into novel writing in my head) the other day, and i thought of you, abbie! šš she was talking about how she doesnāt worry about what production happens to her songs after she writes them ( or in our case the prose and plot), she cares the most about the lyrics ( internal conflict) that will make people feel what she was feeling at the time she wrote it. sure, she has a clear vision of the rhythm ( plot) in mind ā but she feels confident experimenting with different styles of music because she knows she has a loyal audience who yearns for feeling raw emotion from her songs. no matter what production ( external conflict) goes on top of it.
the little abbie voice in my head thought it was cool that even the biggest female popstar uses the secret of internal conflict in her own art :)

I think I MUST buy this book! I've always loved lighthouses, and lately I'm loving the forest scenes of the world. Brotherly love is something I've not had much experience handling (I have no brothers I contact, and I'm a girl), but I feel like guys are so much easier to get along with than girls, and even more fun, so I'm looking forward to the positive, wholesome brotherly banter in this one! But the thoughtful lighthouse theme is resonating with me right now! You are my favorite YouTube book author/cheerleader/tutor!!!

Name guesses: Hippo, Lion, Parrot, Sparrow, Tiger, Leopard, Butterfly, Robin, Bee, Orca, Dolphin, Deer or Cobra. (I went with the most exotic names, and I think Deer, Robin and Sparrow are my best bets. I tried to stay different, because I think more people's favorite animals are the ones which you cannot keep as pets.)
Edit: I really look forward to Wednesdays and Fridays, because you and Moriah Elizabeth post on those days, and you are both my favorite YouTubers.

šCongratulations Abbie š I read 100 days of Sunlight and Tessa & Weston: The Best Christmas Ever. I loved both, the story, the characters, the lesson in the story and I can't wait to read the Lighthouse book as wellš I also wrote a book that I'm currently editing and it's called Soaring with the Wind. It's about a horse that was abused in the past, was sold from owner to owner to compete in sports like horse racing, rodeo, showjumping, etc. and has to learn to trust humans which is difficult for her, based on her past experiences.

And I already have some theories! :) Your protagonist lives on a lonely lighthouse island with her father, sees Washington in the distance (they call it the "otherworld"), and the brothers crash onto the island. Her favorite animal is a butterfly (based on the wings in the trailer) and she's named after a kind of butterfly! (Or a whale, based off her aesthetic collage.)

You don't know how much difference your videos made in my story. I'm working on it since 2021. It started as a hobby, but after a lot of things, it turned into something bigger, and it's amazing how I've grown as a writer, and I hope to get better in the next years.
