It's funny that Epic Voice Guy mentioned Japanese Spider-Man not being in Across the Spider-Verse because back when this movie was still in development, Lord and Miller stated he would appear in the sequel. I guess with how big the movie got Lord and Miller realized they wouldn't have the time to properly introduce him. They are probably saving him for Beyond the Spider-Verse.

The perfect sequel to a near flawless movie. I especially love how well Miguel represents the fundamental flaw of the Spider Societyās doctrine: that Spider-People are defined by their trauma and that their trauma is essential.

It's so cool that even Lord and Miller initially said the Spot was too silly to be the main villain. But then they thought about it and realized that it was the point of the character to not be taken seriously at first and then be a gradual threat. And it was executed brilliantly.
