Introducing Will Linley | Vevo DSCVR

It might seem like Will Linley's success arrived swiftly, but don’t try to convince the South African of that. He’s been dreaming of a life in music since childhood, back when his dad was cranking John Denver classics on the car radio. Maybe that’s why an airy '70s guitar tone plays a big part in Linley's uplifting pop. Plucked acoustic guitar weaves through some of his biggest tracks, including “miss me (when you’re gone)” and “i don’t wanna be yours.” The former currently boasts an impressive 16 million streams and counting on Spotify. We can all agree that’s an impressive number for a debut single. Linley says “Last Call” was "born from a place of nostalgia" and has “rolling credits, end scene” energy. It's also a hit with fans, its infectious dance club video blazing past 100K views in its first month. People like pop that puts them in a good mood, and love pop that transports them to a good place. Will makes the latter kind, and it tracks that he counts Ed Sheeran and Lauv as inspirations. As for this performance, would you believe it's his first time playing these tunes with a band? Things are moving fast for this guy, and he’s ready for all of it.
