Nashville was recently divided into 3 separate districts, each of which the population is dominated by conservative voters who live far away from Nashville. Nashville, being a blue island, used to get a blue representative in the house. Now that it’s split across 3 other pre-existing district, we essentially lost a blue seat to gerrymandering, and Nashville has no direct representation.
