the zombies are one of the best, and sadly underrated, bands of the 20th century

I tell people that Odyssey and Oracle is one of the best albums of the 20th Century!! Brilliant piano, marvelous harmonies and clever lyrics. It's BOSS man, it's BOSS!!!

For pure melody this song is incredible and stands along with anything written in the last 50 years.

I totally agree, this is my favorite of all of the Zombies catalog. It has a certain stately majesty and it is outrageously beautiful. Since it was recorded before the album they should’ve rushed out its release but of course they were ill managed. This could’ve should’ve would’ve been a top 10 record in the USA and UK if it had been properly released and promoted. Send sending this record to the DJs around the country would’ve created a big splash, I think.

Not on the original album but it was “recorded slightly before the Odessey sessions and was the B-side to Time of the Season in Europe”, according to the liner notes on the Rhino CD. It’s a shame, should’ve been on the album too; it’s that great. The consequence of leaving it off the album is that most people in the USA who followed and bought this album have never heard this incredible song, which is criminal. The piano on this is amazing and the tune penned by who else but Chris White is genius, pure genius. Has an element of baroque pop, so stately, in a sense.

A very nice song but it´s not on the Odessey and Oracle album. It´s on the b-side of the UK single Time of the Season from -68.
