My younger brother, my best friend, spent so many hours with me in our teenage years, listening to our shared Jim Croce records. We would sing every word together in harmony. We cried together the day news came of Jim's untimely death.
Then, in 1999, my brother became very sick and we knew that we wouldn't have much more time together.
My precious Bubby would play "Time in a Bottle" on the stereo for me and say, "When you hear this song, Baby Girl, think of me."
This November, it will be twenty-five years since he left this world, but I still remember my brother's sweet voice singing that beautiful song and I miss him so much! Sweet dreams, Bubby...💔🌹🥺

Hubby was so surprise that I know most of Jim Croce's song since I came from Asia.I told him that a friend asked me to listen to sing his music and lent me the 33 record album. I played it non stop, just fell in love with his music. What a great songwriter, acoustic guitar player and singer.Rest in Peace Jim, your legacy continues❤

I was born in 1947 in Overbrook. In 1956 we moved to Drexel Hill. The Croce's lived 3 doors from us. I was nine, Jimmy was 13 and played the accordion. My mom would come home from the Food Fair with groceries. Jimmy would run out and carry her bags for her. Trivial example, but how many teenagers would be so nice? Quiet, friendly, and really talented. I went off to the Army in 1968 and Jimmy was well on his way to a fantastic career. We were all crushed when he was killed.
