Dear whoever is reading this, we don't know each other and there is a strong possibility we might never meet, but I wish nothing but the best and happiness for you ❤️🤙

I feel like this song is a perfect example, of the current state of collective consciousness in the world right now. I’ve lost all my friends, my family, nobody talks anymore, nobody cares. We’re all in this life together, but I’ve never felt so alone, I’m longing for how things used to be. If you’re reading this, I love you and hope everything painful, turns into something beautiful and actually worth the pain.

I found this song when me and my son were apart with no contact for a couple years and listened to it regularly. This expressed how I felt so well...I did get my son back FULL TIME ❤

My husband of 26 years took his life. He was the love of my life. He had Bipolar disorder. When things were good, they were wonderful. When things weren’t good, they were so very difficult. But, if I could do it all over again, I’d still choose him, and if I could know what I know now, I’d do so much more to try to help him. This song may not have been written about this subject, but it really speaks to me. My family and I hurt so deeply, and I grieve for him all of the time.

58 years old and I never called someone dad. The greatest sound I hear now is when my own kids call me dad.

Anyone can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a Dad. I was lucky to have that Dad. He was my mentor and my best friend . He passed away 3 years ago. I miss him so much. I am now carrying for my mom. She and my dad were married for 62 years. I can't imagine the heartache she fills every day. Dad, I am keeping my promise to take care of her. Just know I really miss you.

This song is super underrated. My dad fought for over 7 years and poured every ounce of money and energy he had into getting custody of me and my sister. We were poor as dirt because of it but i wouldnt trade one second. He was paralyzed on his left side since he was 18 but never took any government assistance. He worked his crippled ass off every day to make sure we made it. This song always reminds me of the sacrifices he made to make sure we had a stable upbringing ❤️

Much respect to all of the father’s that hung in there and continued to raise the kids right despite the issues we may have went through. Love.

Got married in 01. Had my first kid in 01. I remember listening and watching this song on tv while holding my first child while I rocked her back and forth on the chair. She’s graduated recently from college. Years later I’m still married and my second child is graduating from high school. Kids are a beautiful aspect of life/they make you become better people/you realize your life is not your own anymore. Timeless song. Thanks Wes:)

Didn’t think life would get so hard the older you get, and the more you start thinking about anything and everything. I want to go back to when I heard this song for the first time

I've loved this song but never understood what it was about until I saw this video. At 65 I have failed at a lot of things throughout life except for one thing, raising my son without a wife. He's now 25 and in the Navy. Never fails to say "I love you Dad" at the end of our phone calls. It doesn't get better than that!
