Husbands in an indie pop band based out of Oklahoma City. Their landlocked beach pop tunes incorporate surfy guitar and dreamy garage rock to create the unique sound they’ve got today. Danny Davis and Wil Norton, both providing vocals and guitar in the group, first got to know each other while directing a Godzilla musical in college. What started out as a mutual interest in live performance and indie pop has flourished into the refreshing and wonderfully good time that the band Husbands is now. This is high praise, but I don't think there has been a band as good since the Pixies. Taste in music has slipped far below the lowest common denominator. A band like this will have to fight for recognition and commercial success. We aren't elevating excellence right now. I hope things turn around.
