1989 sitting on the floor of my apartment in NYC with some girl I just met. Playing this song on my stereo trying to impress her with my stereo and taste in music. 32 years later still together married 31 years , two kids all grown up. Here I am still listening to The Church.

The Church is truly a universal band. Goths, Metalheads, Alternative fans and everybody else in between loves them. That's a mark of good music.

It warms my heart that even today, people still come back to this kind of music. There's still hope for humanity.

I’m 56, been a fan since the mid 80’s, got to see them in about 85. A guy I met in College, he & I became friends over this band, he passed away a couple of years ago from a heart attack, gone too soon 😒 I saw his widow shortly after and she said β€œMatt always loved The Church, and when he talked about them, your name would always come up” made my cry, it’s amazing how wonderful music is an interwoven part of our lives. I’m really looking forward to their new music in 2023 πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

I was at this show. Filmed at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis in 1988. The close ups of the band were done before they let us in as we could hear this song being played over and over again while waiting in the lobby. Signs at the door said they would be filming. I was 4th row right side on the floor in front of Marty and it was amazing!

Such an underrated, underappreciated band. Loved them from the first time I heard " Under the Milky Way".

Saw them live recently and they still sound amazing after all these years. Great band to see live if you get a chance.
