This Cuphead Any% run is done on version 1.1.5, meaning the (in)famous Weapon Swap Glitch is patched out. Just in case anyone isn't aware, since this isn't mentioned in the video
Every time the scoreboard comes up after a boss, the runner will attempt Star Skip, which is when you press A on the exact frame the stars start being counted, this will skip the slow animation saving roughly 0.9 seconds. Most runners get star skip about 1/3rd of the time, with a full run usually having about 6-7 successful star skips.

A star skip explanation skip is when you double-tap the right side of your screen on the EXACT moment you hear âthen he goes for the star skipâ; this causes the next sentence to appear instantly, skipping the slow explanation and saving 10 seconds. Top watchers usually get this skip around a third of the time with runs typically having around 3 or 4 successful skips

This was awesome to get to be a part of and I love how it turned out! tomato was great to work with and I feel really did this run justice for his style of video.

Also, for anyone that might find this run interesting enough to look into more I highly recommend it as I believe it to be easy to get into and potentially fun for all skill levels. The speedrun page for Cuphead has lots of great resources like a trainer/debug mod and a beginner and up to date advanced tutorial for this category. The category has been very active, with everyone in the top 7 having gotten a PB within the past year and many still actively grinding and participating in various community events, so it's a great time to get in on the game and give it a go with plenty of people around to help anyone as well.
